About the event
Taylored Pickleball Academy is pleased to host a day of pickleball clinic lessons for members of the Burlington Pickleball Association on Saturday October 12, 2024 at the Haber Community Centre. Â The sessions offered on this day with TPA Head Pro and Canadian National Pickleball Player, Corey Osborne will focus on advanced beginner and intermediate skill levels.

Doubles Strategy Intermediate
Oct 12: 12pm - 1:30pm This clinic is ideal for intermediate players who want to become great doubles partners on the court! By focusing on drills that require each partner to perform their role, you’ll learn the importance of patience, positioning, and synchronization with your partner. Effective communication and understanding your role with each position on the court will also be covered ending with mentored game play to test out your new doubles strategy.

Oct 12: 1:45pm - 3:15pm Intermediate Skill Level Volleys: Master the art of volleying with precision and control. Learn the correct stance, grip, and timing to confidently handle volleys at the net, turning defensive plays into offensive opportunities. Soft Shots: Develop finesse and accuracy with delicate drop shots and dinks. Discover how to vary your shot selection to keep opponents off balance and create openings for winners. Resets: Explore strategic resets to regain control of the point.

Oct 12: 3:30pm - 5pm Intermediate Skill Level The 3rd shot -drive or drop - is one of the most important shots to master in pickleball. This clinic will focus on improving the quality and consistency of your 3rd shots as well as understanding the strategy around how and why it’s so important. You’ll be put through a series of drills & drill-based games meant to help you improve your performance when attempting this difficult but strategically important shot. Final 20 mins will be spent in games.
