About the event
Taylored Pickleball Academy in association with the Meadowwood Tennis Club is hosting 4 great days of Pickleball Clinics in May and June exclusively for the members of Meadowwood Tennis Club. The sessions offered on these days will focus on beginner, advanced beginner and early intermediate skill levels.
As always, the TPA team will keep you having fun while elevating your game!
Please note that after registering for the TPA programs of your choice please ensure you also register on the MTC Court Reserve System!

Thurs May 2 / 2pm-3:30pm / Experience – None Join our qualified and certified TPA instructors in our 1.5 hour introduction to pickleball which is a great way to learn the basics of this amazing game in a fun, friendly environment. We’ll cover off all the basic fundamentals such as grip, proper stroke techniques, court positioning, simple rules, court etiquette and the serve and return. You’ll end with mini-game play to put all you’ve learned into action. Paddles provided.

We will have specific goals & targets that will challenge you to do more than just get the ball over the net!

Sat May11 / 4:30pm - 6pm / Skill – Advanced Beginner This 1.5-hour session will be focused on building your confidence, control, and consistency with the play at or near the non-volley zone (NVZ aka the Kitchen). We will touch on strategies and techniques to encourage you to implement the soft game while also preparing you to handle the fast-paced balls while at the net and learn how to use your opponent’s shots to your advantage!

Sat June 8 /3:45pm - 5:15pm / Skill – Advanced Beginner Do you struggle with playing against players known as ‘Bangers’? This 1.5-hour clinic lesson is designed specifically for you. We will focus on certain skills such as volleys, controlling the pace of the ball and returning the serve along with other smart strategies and techniques to help you learn how to take back control of the court. You’ll learn how to out smart and out maneuver your opponents, regardless of their power game.

Sat June 8 /5:30pm - 7pm / Skill – Early Intermediate The 3rd shot -drive or drop - is one of the most important shots to master in pickleball. This clinic will focus on improving the quality and consistency of your 3rd shots as well as understanding the strategy around how and why it’s so important. You’ll be put through a series of drills & drill-based games meant to help you improve your performance when attempting this difficult but strategically important shot. Final 20 min of game play.

Thurs June 20 / 3:30pm - 5pm / Skill – Early Intermediate While power shots often get the fan fare, soft shots play a vital role in pickleball. We’ll teach you how to properly execute the dink shot, a delicate and precise shot. You’ll learn about the placement of the soft shot and the strategies to keep your opponents off balance and in defense mode. Plus proper court positioning, footwork and movement which will have you playing pickleball and not just reacting to the game.
