About the event
Taylored Pickleball Academy is hosting a one-day Pickleball Clinic in Barrie, Ont on Sun June 2nd from 9am - 4pm. Choose from our popular Learn 2 Play, advanced beginner skills and drills, learn how to beat the bangers or improve your soft shot game to dominate the court!

Barrie Learn 2 Play
June 2nd: 9am - 10:30am Experience – None Our 1.5 hour introduction to pickleball which is a great way to learn the basics of this amazing game in a fun, friendly environment. We’ll cover off all the basic fundamentals such as grip, proper stroke techniques, court positioning, simple rules and the serve and return. You’ll end with mini-game play to put all you’ve learned into action. This is just the beginning and you’ll be keen to take our Advanced Beginner Growing Your Game next.

June 2nd: 10:45am - 12:15pm Experience – Advanced Beginner Participated in our introduction to pickleball class and ready for more? Want to gain confidence in your skills before playing a game? This 1.5 hour session is designed for advanced beginners who are looking for an additional opportunity to work on their skills and confidence before entering open gameplay. We will have specific goals and targets that will challenge you to do more than just get the ball over the net!

June 2: 12:45pm - 2:15pm Experience – Advanced Beginner / Early Intermediate Do you struggle with playing against players known as ‘Bangers’? This clinic is designed specifically for you. We will focus on certain skills such as volleys, controlling the pace of the ball and returning the serve along with other smart strategies and techniques to help you learn how to take back control of the court. You’ll learn how to out smart and out maneuver your opponents, regardless of their power game.

June 2: 2:30pm - 4:00pm While power shots often get the fan fare, soft shots play a vital role in pickleball. In this clinic we’ll teach you how to properly execute the dink shot, a delicate and precise shot. You’ll learn about the placement of the soft shot and the strategies to keep your opponents off balance and in defense mode. Plus proper court positioning, footwork and movement which will have you playing pickleball and not just reacting to the next shot.
