There was a time when vacation meant putting your feet up, ordering something cold, and not having a plan.
And honestly? We still love that vacation. But something is changing.
More travellers are looking for experiences that let them do something, not just see something. They want to move, explore, learn, meet people and come home with a story that starts with, “You won't believe what happened…”
Enter the pickleball traveller.
We don't just want to go somewhere. We want to experience it.
Pickleball has quietly become more than a sport you play at home.
It has become a reason to travel.
A reason to discover a new destination. A reason to meet people you might never have crossed paths with. A reason to spend the morning on the courts and the afternoon exploring somewhere completely new.
And that combination is powerful. Because when you travel for an activity you genuinely enjoy, the destination becomes more than a backdrop. It becomes part of the experience.
Active doesn't have to mean exhausting.
The rise of the active traveller doesn't mean everyone is suddenly training for an Ironman on vacation. It simply means people are becoming more intentional about how they spend their time away.

A few competitive games before dinner with people who, 48 hours earlier, were complete strangers.
It's not about filling every minute. It's about making the minutes count.
And pickleball happens to be really good at this.
As you may have read in our last blog, we believe pickleball brings something to travel that many activities don't: community.
You can arrive knowing nobody and leave with a group chat full of people planning the next trip.
You can be competitive without everything being serious.
You can learn something new, laugh at yourself, play a few games, and then sit down for dinner together.
Your paddle gets you there. The experience keeps you coming back.
Maybe the future of travel isn't about escaping our lives.
Maybe it's about finding new ways to live them.
A little more movement.
A little more curiosity.
A few more adventures.
And hopefully, a lot more people to share them with.
