About the event
Taylored Pickleball Academy in partnership with Barrie Curling Club is hosting a summer series of monthly Pickleball Clinics! The sessions offered will focus on specific pickleball topics and strategies geared towards beginner to intermediate skill levelled players.
As always, the TPA team will keep you engaged and having fun while elevating your skills on the court!

BCC Learn 2 Play
Sun May 5th: 9am - 10:30am Skill: BeginnersOur1.5 hour introduction to pickleball which is a great way to learn the basics of this amazing game in a fun, friendly environment. We’ll cover off all the basic fundamentals such as grip, proper stroke techniques, court positioning, simple rules & the serve and return. You’ll end with mini-game play to put all you’ve learned into action. This is just the beginning & you’ll be keen to take our Advanced Beginner Skill & Strategy Training lesson next!

Sun May 5th: 9am-10:30am Cost is for all 3 players. This 1.5-hour session is a playing and training session. You and 2 friends will be on the court with a TPA pro and will be put into game play and play-like scenarios where we can work on strategy, techniques and discuss decisions and options. This is a great opportunity for you and 2 of your friends to play with and against the pro to understand areas for improvement in a welcoming and fun environment.

May 5th: 11am-12:30pm Skill: Advanced Beginner The non-volley zone (NVZ), commonly referred to as the kitchen, is a critical area on the pickleball court that requires finesse, strategy, and quick reflexes. Learning to play the NVZ line effectively can significantly enhance your game and take you to the next level. This session will focus on building your confidence, control, and consistency with the play at or near the NVZ through drill based learning and mini game play action.

May 5th: 1pm - 2:30pm Skill: Advanced Beginner The first 3 shots in any pickleball rally establishes the rhythm for the point! Learn how to get your game started off right with our clinic on effective serve, return and 3rd shots designed for advanced beginners. The focus will be on the fundamentals of all 3 shots plus strategies, techniques & the importance of placement over power! We will have specific goals & targets that will challenge you to do more than just get the ball over the net!
