We are coming monthly to Port Elgin's Lakeshore Recreation pickleball courts this summer for another great day of Pickleball Clinics! Join us on the courts the first Tuesday of every summer month and level up your game!

About:
The Taylored Pickleball Academy is excited to partner with the Saugeen Shore Pickleball Club to bring a summer series of fun, high-energy pickleball clinics to the community! TPA will host a monthly clinic on the first Tuesday of each summer month, led by TPA Lead Instructor Terry Woods.
These one-day clinics are designed for advanced beginner and intermediate players, with each session focusing on a specific skill or game strategy to help players build confidence and improve their performance on the court. As always, the TPA team brings a fun, encouraging atmosphere while delivering top-level instruction to help elevate your game!

Stop The Pop Ups
12pm - 1:30pm Skill Level - Advanced Beginner Eliminate one of the most common point-killers in pickleball: the pop-up. This focused session is designed to help you gain control over your contact point, paddle angle, and swing path so you can keep the ball low and unattackable. Learn the key causes of pop-ups on dinks, resets, and volleys, and develop the feel and technique needed to consistently drive the ball downward into the kitchen zone.

Building a Better Backhand
1:30pm -3pm Skill:Advanced Beginner to Early Intermediate Many players tend to avoid their backhand or feel it’s their weaker side—but it doesn’t have to be. This session is designed to build confidence, control, and consistency on your backhand dinks, drives, and volleys. Learn proper grip, body positioning, and contact point to handle both soft exchanges and faster-paced balls with more stability and accuracy.

Transition Zone Confidence
3pm - 5pm Skill: Early Intermediate Intermediate The transition zone is where many points are won—or lost. This session focuses on helping you move through “no man’s land” with control and purpose instead of hesitation. Learn how to block and absorb volleys, improve your split-step timing, and stay balanced while moving forward or back under pressure. We’ll also work on resetting difficult balls to regain control of the point and get safely to the kitchen line.
