About the event
Taylored Pickleball Academy in partnership with Saugeen Shores Pickleball Club is hosting a fun filled day of Pickleball Clinics! The sessions offered will focus on specific pickleball topics and strategies geared towards advanced beginner to intermediate skill levelled players.
As always, the TPA team will keep you engaged and having fun while elevating your skills on the court!

SSPC: Kitchen Confidence AB
Sun June 4th 10am-11:30am Skill: Advanced Beginners This 1.5-hour session will be focused on building your confidence, control, and consistency with the play at or near the non-volley zone (NVZ aka the Kitchen). We will touch on strategies and techniques to encourage you to implement the soft game while also preparing you to handle the fast-paced balls while at the net and learn how to use your opponent’s shots to your advantage!

Sun June 4th 11:45am-1:15pm Skill: Advanced Beginners Do you struggle with playing against players known as ‘Bangers’? This 1.5-hour clinic lesson is designed specifically for you. We will focus on certain skills such as volleys, controlling the pace of the ball and returning the serve along with other smart strategies and techniques to help you learn how to take back control of the court. You’ll learn how to out smart and out maneuver your opponents, regardless of their power game.

Sun June 4th 1:30pm - 3pm Skill: Intermediate While power shots often get the fan fare, soft shots play a vital role in pickleball. In this 1.5 hour clinic we’ll teach you how to properly execute the dink shot, a delicate and precise shot. You’ll learn about the placement of the soft shot and the strategies to keep your opponents off balance and in defense mode. Plus proper court positioning, footwork and movement which will have you playing pickleball and not just reacting to the next shot.

Sun June 4th 3pm-4:30pm Skill: Intermediate The 3rd shot -drive or drop - is one of the most important shots to master in pickleball. This clinic will focus on improving the quality and consistency of your 3rd shots as well as understanding the strategy around how and why it’s so important. You’ll be put through a series of drills & drill-based games meant to help you improve your performance when attempting this difficult but strategically important shot. Final 20 minutes will be game play.
